East Setauket's Sweetleaf Boutique to Close

Store holding sale on all clothing and accessories ahead of its June closing.

After more than six years in business, Sweetleaf Boutique in East Setauket is closing its doors.

In a letter to friends and customers, the store’s management said they are closing in order to focus on taking care of co-owner Kelli D’andrea’s six-month-old daughter Sienna, who has already had one heart surgery and will need continued critical care.

“We struggled with this decision but Sienna needs our attention right now,” owners Livia Cooper, Kelli D’andrea and Danielle Smith wrote in their letter. “We love our Sweetleaf family and what we do. We so appreciate the outpouring of love from everyone and the concern for Sienna.”

The store will close sometime in June and must sell through its inventory before then. The store is holding a sale of 40 percent off all clothing and 20 percent off all accessories in the meantime.

The owners thanked their friends and family for helping out at the store when they couldn’t be there, and thanked their customers for their loyalty over the years.

“You are very special to us and made this journey so amazing,” they said. “We look forward to revisiting Sweetleaf in the future when Sienna is on the road to recovery.”
