Marie Kaminski / Lyrical Children, Neighbor

Marie has always been drawn to music and young children.  As Director/Owner of Lyrical Children Inc. she has found a way of sharing her passion for music making & creative fun with families of young children.  Having taught Music Together® classes since 1999 she is a Level I Certified teacher.  Parent - Child Classes are now offered at various locations from Setauket to Southold.  Combining this program with a developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool children lead to the opening of Lyrical Children's Preschool & Learning Center in Calverton in 2002.  Here 2 - 5 yr olds have Nursery and Pre K Readiness classes that include a weekly 1/2 hour Music Together class. Other programs include Grownup & Me (18 mos - 3 yrs) and various Enrichment classes in the afternoons, evenings & weekends. (Rhythm Kids for 4 - 8 yrs / Piano Kids for 5 - 8 yrs / Art Exploration for 2 - 5 yrs / Plaster Crafts / Birthday Parties for 1 - 8 yrs / Spanish Immersion etc.)

     Marie holds a degree in Music in Special Education, is “Orff-Schulwerk” Level I & II certified and has over 30 years experience of teaching Piano as well as teaching preschoolers.
