The Ward Melville Heritage Organization's annual holiday festival is in its 32nd year. Patch was in attendance – along with hundreds of spectators and families – to check out the highlights.

Woodlands Folk Festival Set for Saturday at UUFSB

Entertainment lineup includes acts for both children and adults.

Long Island's newest music festival is the Woodlands Folk Festival, set for Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Stony Brook between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The musical lineup includes blues/country/folk artist Mick Hargreaves, folk/swing/jazz musician Martin Swinger, guitarist Jim Dexter, the Bone Vivant Trombone Quartet, local act Claudia Jacobs Band, and more. A full lineup of performances is online here. Tickets are $15, and $5 for children ages 4-18. The festivities will also include food, local beer and wine, crafts and jewelry, and children's music and activities. The proceeds from the festival will benefit UUFSB, a nonprofit religious institution which supports a number of causes.

Photos: Apple Festival a Hit in East Setauket

21st Annual Long Island Apple Festival held at historical Sherwood-Jayne House.

Fall was in full swing on Sunday at the Sherwood-Jayne House. Sponsored by Homestead Arts, the Three Village Historical Society and the Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities, this year's apple festival featured pony rides, apple races and games, traditional entertainment, hay rides, open hearth cooking, house and barn tours, fresh cider, craft demonstrations,  face painting, homemade food, and tons of apples.

Photos: Fun and Frolicking at St. James Church Festival

Annual parish festival and fundraiser held at St. James Roman Catholic Church.

Over 200 parish members and their families enjoyed en evening of fun, food and entertainment at the 7th Annual Parish Festival and fund raiser held on the grounds of the St. James Roman Catholic Church on Saturday. Parishioners were treated to a barbeque, clowns, face painting, performances by the youth ensemble orchestra and its singers, Broadway songs, dance, science experiments, ring tosses, tee-ball, arts and crafts, horse races, one-legged races, and a raffle.
