Thank you Empowered I love how all the people think that a heroin junkie is a homeless person in…Read More the street with needles in their arms. Not true some are white collar, some have kids , some live right next door to you. So stop being ignorant this is a real problem. I live by a high school and I see the heroin packages on the street!!!!! So we are not doing enough. Starts with the PARENTS!!! And people realizing that its all the same, doesn't matter if it is illegal or not, addiction is a disease that runs a course and ends up in death. Whether your laying in ICU with sorosis of the liver or O.D ed from pain killers it all the same, legal or not .......thanks folks

It doesn't make a difference what pill/drug/poison someone puts into to their body...you missed my…Read More point...it was about, LOVE, SUPPORT and ASSISTING THEM TO GET HELP. EVERY person with a problem that extends their hand out for help...should be met with a helping hand.

I do hate the drug dealers...I had a "group of friends" (large men that ride motorcycles)…Read More go looking for a particular drug dealer...found him and he "decided" to move out of the area and has not been seen again!!! Im not just sitting behind my computer and typing words...I put VERBS into my sentences and make things happen, one dirtbag at a time.

I'd like to point out that a "sexual relationship" is not a crime. This teacher is accused…Read More of rape, which is a felony. A "sexual relationship" implies consent. Legally, a 16 year old is unable to consent, especially with someone who is in a position of power over her.
I believe the media plays a role in how we conceptualize these sorts of crimes, and to call what took place an alleged "sexual relationship" minimizes the severity of the crime.

Bill Rohr April 25, 2013 at 11:15 am

She had a big following. When stuff started tarnishing and she claims it wasn't her stuff it became…Read More obvious the things were fake but it was easy to believe the stuff was donated by Tiffany as seconds.

Furthermore, you smug little turd. Get back to me when you grow enough hair on your balls to use…Read More your real name & not hide like a coward behind multiple profile names, changing them every time someone doesn't agree with your warped, bitter opinions...

This may be true, but what does it have to do with the pedestrian getting killed by the train????
Marc James April 16, 2013 at 01:15 pm
Not sure what the situation was surrounding this man's death. Honestly people need to respect the RR…Read More crossings. I do know the train didn't leap off the tracks and hit the man. Last Sat I sat in front of the bakery at the St James RR tracks at the station and the crossings were not functioning correctly-one was up and one was down and yet people still thought it was a good idea to drive around the crossing rail-just plain dumb.

Another case of the victim being victimized again. Maybe you and other parents have this type of…Read More problem should bring a lawyer to the school and see if there are options for suing the parents of these children. Maybe then, someone will listen. I understand your problem. Many years ago when my son was in middle school the dean of students did nothing for my son. I told her if another person puts a hand on him I will have the police there and she told me that would not be her problem. I told her it would be when they were standing in her office. I also had a tiff with the assistant superintendent of schools when she repeatedly said "I don't know" to too many of my questions. I asked her "Ma'am, for $200,000 a year what is it that you do know?" This is 3Village at its finest.

I agree with you. The parents are probably off worrying more about the cars, big house, etc to have…Read More do anything for their child who is a problem. Oh a copay for getting him help. Well at $20 a week that would be $80 a month and my Iphone payment much be made, Under Armor costs a lot of money for a T-shirt but these are the priorities. My goodness. I too came from a lower to middle class neighborhood. I remember when the guy down the street retired and bought a Cadillac. My goodness the whole street came out and was excited. Now, if you don't have a brand new car every two years and its not a at least BMW you are looked down upon. This is a societal issue and we really need to think about what we are doing, who we are trying to keep up with and what is important. I, once again, stayed home with my kids. No fancy cars, no granite countertops. I taught my sons from 3 years old to hold doors open for people (with my help) now it is rote to them. They are courteous and kind. Not to say they don't have their issues as all kids do. But they do not act out in public. They do not curse at me or anyone and they have NEVER been spanked. They were brought up not babysat. Wake up people.

Patrick as far as the assault at Murphy my daugher says the victim is out of school and being…Read More homeschooled and the perpetrator got OSS for a few days and I think is back to school. Ridiculous. Very disturbing. My daughter was the victim of a repeat offender/problem child last year being verbally abused & threatened via cell phone and in school and the child got ISS for a few days. The dean recognized the child's voice on my daughter's voicemails and yet the child remained in school. Something is very wrong with this picture.
