The Week Ahead: Boating Safety, Graduation Rehearsal, Golf Classic

Among a number of notable events this week are a boating safety class, a Stony Brook Alumni Association fundraiser and of course high school prom and graduation – more to come on that topic. For more happening this week in the Three Village community, visit our event calendar.

1. The U.S. Coast Guard will host a boating safety course at the Setauket Fire Department's Main Street headquarters on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Call 631-938-1705 for more details.

2.  For graduating seniors at Ward Melville High School, the mandatory graduation rehearsal is Monday at 10 a.m. (rain date: Wednesday) in preparation for Sunday's commencement ceremony.

3.  Also on Monday, the Stony Brook University Alumni Association will hold its annual scholarship fundraiser golf classic, set for 11 a.m. at Willow Creek in Mt. Sinai. Click here for more information.

5. The Setauket Fire District will hold its regular Board of Fire Commissioners meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the district's Hulse Road headquarters.
