School Board, Civic Meetings and TedX Among This Week's Best

Don't let a wet start to week rain on your fall plans.

While the week might get a soggy start as remnants of Tropical Storm Karen drift up the East Coast, none of that should put a damper on things.

For starters, Benner's Farm has opened for the season, one of best places to enjoy the fall in town.

At the same time, Stony Brook football gave locals a great game this past weekend. The team moves to 2-3 and will take on Colgate on Oct. 13.

Also, we wanted to give quick thanks to Brian Lenz, for leaving commentary on the Brookhaven's traffic safety in our open Soapbox blog. Here's what he had to say.
