Volunteer Roundup: Help Clean up the Beach or Run for a Cause

Five ways you can get involved in the Three Village community.

This week's Volunteer Roundup includes several different ways to give back to your community. You can participate in a beach clean-up day, help a local sports team, run in support of curing children's cancer, and more. If you are part of a group that is in need of volunteers, please let us know by adding a "Volunteers Needed" announcement or sending us an email.

In support of Earth Day, head down to West Meadow Beach on Saturday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. and help clean up winter storm debris (rain date: Sunday, April 24). This is a great way for students and scouts to earn community service hours and badges. Latex gloves will be supplied; please dress appropriately. Work gloves and closed shoes are recommended. For more information contact naturalist Eileen Gerle via phone at 631-751‐7863 or via email.

Soccer season in under way and the organization is always looking for volunteers to coach a team or help run the divisions. If you enjoy working with children and love sports, this could be a great way to get involved in the community. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Jane O'Brien via email.
