Suffolk County Public Libraries offer live tutors for students K through College via Live-brary. com.

Need help understanding a concept from class in math, science, reading, writingor social studies?  Suffolk County Public Libraries are offering students K though college the opportunity to brush up or catch up on their school work, at no cost, with a live tutor through Live Study Help located at Live-brary.com.  Simply enter your grade, subject and skill, and you will be connected with a skills-building instructor. Brainfuse’s Language Lab tutors provide help with Spanish homework, while the Writing Lab offers constructive feedback on essays and book reports.  Brainfuse also tutors students taking PSAT/SAT, ACT, AP or other state standardized tests. Live academic assistance is available daily from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

“HelpNow” is an innovative and unique online program that provides a blend of one-on-one homework help, state-aligned skills building, writing assistance and test preparation,” said Suffolk Cooperative Library System Director Kevin Verbesey.  “For over a decade it has helped students through research-based tutoring and online learning solutions.  I urge both students and their parents to take full-advantage of this terrific resource.”

To set up your account, simply go to http://live-brary.com, click on “Live Study Help”, enter your library card number in the barcode field, and login. Your live tutor is just moments away!
