Ward Melville Girls Suffer First League Loss of Season

Patriots fall to West Islip 12-8 on Thursday.

In a showdown between two of the top girls' lacrosse teams in the county, West Islip emerged the winner with a 12-8 win over Ward Melville on Thursday. Ally Tilley led Ward Melville with two goals and two assists, Erin Cunningham had two goals and an assist, and Kelsey Catalano had one goal and two assists in the game. In goal, Emme Jehle made seven saves. The loss was the first league loss for Ward Melville, which is now 6-1 in League I and 7-2 overall.
