Things to Do in Three Village: #45 – Cheer on the Seawolves

Whether it's basketball, swimming, lacrosse, football and more, our local college teams deserve fans.

Don't even try to resist Wolfie's charms.

Wolfie is Stony Brook University's energetic mascot, and on any given game day you'll see him dancing, generously giving out high-fives, throwing t-shirts out to the audience, and generally getting the crowds riled up. Families flock to Seawolves games from Three Village and beyond – and for good reason.

Stony Brook is home to a nationally ranked lacrosse team, Long Island's only Division I football program, perennial track stars, and other highly-respected programs.

If you've never been to a Seawolves game before, Wednesday night might be a good time to start. The men's basketball team – which owns a nine-game home winning streak – takes on Hartford at 7 p.m. Tickets are under $20 apiece, free for kids under 5, and can be purchased here.
