Stony Brook University Athlete Qualifies for Olympics
Lucy Van Dalen runs qualifying time for this summer's Olympics in London.
Stony Brook athlete Lucy Van Dalen, Class of 2012, ran the 1,500 in 4:05.76 at the Summer Nights Track & Field Series at San Diego's Mesa College – a time that qualifies her to represent her country of New Zealand in this summer's Olympics.
"I'm absolutely stoked, I couldn't be happier really," Van Dalen said in an interview with FoxSports in New Zealand.
