SBU Baseball Team Honored by Mets on Tuesday

A few days after its at the hands of Florida State, the Stony Brook baseball team was honored by the Mets at Citi Field.

Head coach Matt Senk got to throw out the first pitch on Tuesday, and Stony Brook players mingled with Mets players and waxed philosophical on what it meant to be there, according to Newsday.

"Every person on that field has worked hard to get where they are. I'm going to have to do the same if I ever want to share the same field," Willie Carmona told Newsday.

The Mets went on to claim a 5-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
