UPDATE: Browns Cut Maysonet; Bamiro Signs to Eagles' Practice Squad

Undrafted free agents were released by the Browns and Eagles, respectively.

UPDATE: NBC Sports reports that offensive tackle Michael Bamiro, after being cut from the Eagles' roster, has been signed to their practice squad.

ORIGINAL STORY:

In what was considered by some to be a surprising move by the Cleveland Browns, former star Stony Brook running back Miguel Maysonet has been cut from the team's roster, according to a report published by Newsday.

Newsday also reported that SBU's former star offensive tackle Michael Bamiro, who originally thought he had one year left of college eligibility, was cut by the Eagles but may be signed to their practice squad.

In the team's four preseason games, Maysonet saw action in three, though in his final appearance only touched the ball once. The running back, originally from Riverhead, said in an interview with Newsday that he'll take a wait-and-see approach to what happens next.

"It's always a disappointment when you put your all into something and the outcome isn't what you expected,'' Maysonet told Newsday. "I really do appreciate the Browns organization and letting me be a part of what they are building there."
