ESPN to Air Three Stony Brook Men's Basketball Games

Six other games will also be broadcast on TV.

ESPN will televise three Stony Brook men's basketball games this coming season as part of a nine-game TV package the university has negotiated, Stony Brook announced Wednesday.

The Seawolves' season opener at Connecticut on Nov. 12 will be broadcast on SNY, and after that, they'll make their first-ever appearance on ESPN's flagship station on Nov. 16 when they face Monmouth. Two games are scheduled to be broadcast on ESPNU, and five on MSG-Plus.

Athletic director Jim Fiore said these nine games represent Stony Brook's largest-ever TV package and are a testament to how quickly the program has grown under its current head coach, Steve Pikiell.

"We value, respect and appreciate the opportunity to showcase our university and athletic program to a national audience," Fiore said in a statement. "I am very confident our team will be prepared, and our student-athletes will compete at a high level while representing our Seawolves family with class."
