Annual musical opens Thursday.

Patch got the chance to go backstage and behind the scenes with the cast.

Tickets are $20 or $15 for students, children and seniors. Call 631-730-4357 for tickets. Showtimes are 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week.

"Into the Woods" features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Prominent actresses who have performed in the musical include Bernadette Peters and Joanna Gleason. It originally opened in San Diego in 1986 and on Broadway in 1987, and won three Tony Awards including Best Book, Best Score, and Best Actress in a Musical.
