Three Village Students "Stuff a Bus" to Benefit Charity

Student councils at three local schools collected approximately 1,000 toys.

Student council members at Murphy Junior High, Arrowhead Elementary, and Minnesauke Elementary collected approximately 1,000 toys during recent weeks, packing a 17-foot box truck full of donations.

The toys were sent to the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Wyandanch, to benefit families in need.

"We are fortunate to have the things we have," said Grace McBride, a ninth-grade member of the student council at Murphy. "There are so many others who are less fortunate than us."
