Classes in the Three Village Central School District are canceled for the remainder of this week as the district will close on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, the district announced Wednesday afternoon.
The specific reasons for the continued closure were not immediately clear, though transportation hazards such as debris in the road and inoperational traffic lights still plague the Three Village community along with widespread power outages.
According to the district calendar (see attached PDF, page 30), the district has three built-in days for emergencies. The calendar also states the following:
- 0-1 days closed - All schools will be closed on May 24 and May 28, 2013
- 2 days closed - All schools will be closed only on May 28, 2013
- 3 days closed - All schools in session on May 24 and May 28, 2013
- 4 or more days closed - All schools in session on May 24 and 28, 2013 and also on March 25, 2013 (scheduled on the calendar as part of the Spring Recess)
