Things to Do in Three Village: #24 – Celebrate Founder's Day
Annual event will be held on Thursday afternoon.
Each year, multiple organizations come together to celebrate Founder's Day, honoring the origins of Brookhaven Town and Setauket School.
This year, the community can attend the celebration on Thursday starting at 4 p.m. at Setauket Elementary School, paying tribute to the 358th anniversary of Brookhaven Town and the 62nd anniversary of Setauket School.
The event promises "many fun-filled educational activities for students, families and the community."
The theme this year is "Transportation." Thursday afternoon's festivities will include horse and carriage rides around the Village Green and vintage automobiles on display. There will also be a walk to the Three Village Community Trust Rubber Factory Worker Houses. Guests will also enjoy crafts, demonstrations, live music and a tour of the Vance Locke murals.
The event is rain-or-shine (will be held inside the gymnasium in case of inclement weather).
