Following the resignation of head-of-school Robert E. Gustafson Jr., effective June 30, The Stony Brook School has announced a nationwide search for a new leader, according to a message posted on its website.
While the search continues, an interim head will be appointed for the 2012-2013 school year. The new administrator's position is expected to begin July 1, 2013.
"The goal is to name Mr. Gustafson’s permanent successor by the end of 2012 calendar year," the school wrote.
