Question of the Day: What's the Most Important Aspect of the Proposed School Budget Voters Should Know?

It's a significant day for the Three Village district's future, and there are many layers to the budget on which residents are voting.

Just after sunrise and long after the sun has set, the five elementary schools in the Three Village Central School District will welcome residents to cast their vote not only on the proposed budget but also those who will make vital decisions that decide the course on which schools will travel.

It's important that residents exercise their right to vote; it's even more important for them to make educated decisions regarding education in the district.

Is the budget fair? Is a 3.8 percent increase in residents' taxes reasonable? Can the district afford to reduce security, further trim the athletic budget or cut 20 teaching and administrative positions?
