Photos: Homecoming Loss for Ward Melville Doesn't Kill Spirit

Party goes on despite tough loss to Patchogue-Medford.

Homecoming is about school pride, and though the Ward Melville Patriots varsity football squad lost the game Saturday, that didn't snuff out the fun of the event for students and community members alike.

Patchogue-Medford scored 35 points in the first quarter, a margin the hometown team couldn't recover from in their eventual 49 - 21 loss. Ward Melville falls to 2-2 overall, 2-1 in conference play this year.

Still, students from across the district came out to wear school colors and cheer on their team, and locals from across Three Village have sent in photos of the fun.
