Unknown artist builds a bridge across campus fountain.
We're not quite sure how it got there or why, but one thing's for sure: it may make you stop in your tracks and stare. That's what passerby did on Monday as Patch caught this popsicle-stick sculpture on camera. Spanning what's been referred to as the "Stony Brook" on campus – the long, tiered fountain running through one part of Stony Brook University's Academic Mall – there's a little wooden guy clinging to a bridge hovering above the running water. Personal statement, or sign of the times?
