Photo of the Day: Cherry Blossoms Blooming at Sakura Matsuri

Each year, Sakura Matsuri at Stony Brook University's Wang Center draws a crowd that admires the aspects of Japanese culture on display. Sponsored by the Japan Center at Stony Brook and Ryu Shu Kan took place May 5 and celebrated the 100th anniversary of Japan's gift of cherry blossom trees to America, as well as Children's Day, which celebrates "the happiness of all children, respect children's personalities and to express gratitude toward mothers," according to the Ryu Shu Kan website.
