Pat-Med Robotics Keeps on Giving Back

Team 329 continues its tradition of community service in aftermath of Sandy.

The Patchogue-Medford High School Robotics Team 329 is continuing to prove that it can do a lot more than just build award-winning robots as it continues to help those less fortunate in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Team members dropped off more than 1,300 pounds of food, as well as $165, in donations they collected to Island Harvest after the storm hit. And now they have made a second large donation to Long Island Cares for Sandy victims.

The team spent their Sunday volunteering in the Long Island Cares warehouse to help organize, pack, sort and get donated items ready to be sent out to people who are in need of them.

Team 329 has long made community service an integral part of its mission. In 2010, the team won the annual Sherman's Award at the National Robotics competition held in Atlanta. That award was based on the team's outreach work such as mentoring elementary and middle schools students, holding food drives and volunteering with local organizations.

Very proud to have these young folks in team 329 as part of this community. Great to see these guys and gals stepping up to the plate when times are tough. True character. And this community should be very proud of them for doing this on thier own. True leaders. A++

I'm not accusing anyone of "faking it". http://www.coachoutletonlinegg.com My point is that our Pompeii - like most classical http://www.coachoutletonlineaol.net sites, in fact - is the product of collaboration between http://www.coachfactoryoutletwy.com modern rebuilders and conservators, and the original Roman builders http://www.coachoutletstorefc.com themselves, with the lion's share of the work on our side. And it's no less impressive or moving http://www.coachoutletaol.org for that - as the body casts help to show. One of http://www.coachfactoryonlineest.net the video clips played in the exhibition at the Getty Museum comes http://www.coachfactoryoutletpst.com from Roberto Rossellini's film, Voyage in Italy, in which the lead couple, http://www.coachfactoryoutlettx.com played by Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders, tour the country as their marriage http://www.coachfactoryonlinefc.org disintegrates. On their visit to Pompeii they watch the plaster being http://www.coachoutletwy.com poured into a cavity left by two of the victims. http://www.coachoutletonlineybw.com In the movie's most haunting scene, these victims emerge as a couple.
