With the first day of school in Three Village just over a month away, here are some important dates to remember:

Wednesday, Aug. 22

Parent portal opens for junior high schools

Thursday, Aug. 23

Kindergarten Play Dates – 10 a.m. at each elementary school
High school student schedule change requests may begin

Friday, Aug. 24

High school student schedule changes requests continue

Monday, Aug. 27

Parent Portal opens for elementary schools: call each elementary school for the specific time the portal will open for your child's school.

Student walk-through at Gelinas JHS and Murphy JHS – 9 a.m.

High school student schedule change requests continue

Tuesday, Aug. 28

Ward Melville HS sophomore orientation – 9 a.m.
High school student schedule change requests continue

Wednesday, Aug. 29

High school student schedule change requests continue

Friday, Aug. 31

School registration ends. Registration takes place on Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (no afternoon hours).

Ongoing Actions to Remember

• Junior high schedule changes as needed
• Requesting transportation related to full-time child care needs – Fax letter to Transportation (631-730-5095) as well as individual elementary school buildings "as soon as possible." Must be re-requested each year; formal deadline is April 1.
• Requesting bus stop changes – Fax letter to Transportation "as soon as possible."
• Non-public school transportation requests – Fax letter to Transportation "as soon as possible." Formal deadline is April 1.
