The Ward Melville junior varsity cheerleading team is holding a fundraiser car wash today at the high school to raise money for a trip to the national competition in Florida in February. The cost? "Any donation is fine," said head coach Meghan Cereola.
The car wash will run through 2:30 p.m.
The team is ranked in the top 10 in their division nationally, so they start in the summer to get ready for the competition and stay at that level.
"It's a lot of money to raise so we start early," Cereola said. "We love the support."
