Education Fundraiser Gala Set for Thursday Evening

The Three Village Educational Foundation will hold its annual cocktail party at the Old Field Club on Thursday night.

The Three Village Educational Foundation's fifth annual cocktail party, set for Thursday night at 6:30 p.m., will serve as the organization's major fundraiser to support its mini grant program for the Three Village Central School District.

Last year's fundraiser yielded close to $15,000 in funds, of which more than 90 percent went to support the mini grant program. The mini grants are awarded via a teacher application process to support programs or purchases not included in the school budget. This year saw a following a tough budget season.

This year's honorees are Vincent Vizzo, the principal of Murphy Junior High School who has been with the district 26 years, and Mike Vitale, a lifelong Three Village resident known for his dedication to community service.
