Bus Service Changeover Possible for Three Village Schools

Three Village school officials have discovered they should be expecting changes to the schools' bussing services this this fall. 

Atlantic Express Transportation Corporation will be selling its Three Village contract to to Suffolk Transportation Service in Bay Shore, Village Times Herald reports. 

Barbara Gildea, Three Village's tranportation director, said she received a phone call in late June notifying her of the potential change to the school district's bussing contract. 

"We were not at all unhappy with Atlantic Express," Gildea told Village Times Herald. 

The Three Village Board of Education and administrators will have to vote to approve the change before it is finalized with Suffolk Transportation Services. If approved, the district does not expect any changes other than a possible change in drivers and the name on the side of the bus.
