Bomb Threat Received At Ward Melville High School

Nothing found during police search.

Students at Ward Melville High School were evacuated this morning after the school received a report of a bomb threat.

Suffolk County police said they received a call at approximately 10 a.m. notifying them of them of the threat. According to police, the building was searched and nothing was found.

An administrator at the high school said students and staff were evacuated onto buses and driven to the back of the building and kept at a safe distance while the search was conducted. Students and staff were allowed back into the building at around 12 p.m.
