Under the Magic Spell of Quebec
Our spirit suggestion of the week hails from the Great White North
Sortilege means "magic spell" in French and is the name of an enchanting liqueur made from Canadian Whisky and maple syrup bottled and imported from Quebec. It is immensely popular and much more delightful than you would think. The whisky just cuts the sweetness of the maple enough to produce a light, sweet, fairly low proof after dinner drink that can be drunk neat or with ice. It's a good way to thaw yourself out in the winter.
