Who Will Be Brookhaven's Highway Superintendent?

Join our open blog "The Soapbox" and have your thoughts and opinions heard.

As election season heats up, the Brookhaven Town Highway Department Superintendent race is a showdown between incumbent Dan Losquadro and challenger Lori Baldassare.

In a recent blog post on Three Village Patch, former Traffic Department director and highway engineer Brian Lenz criticized some of the cost-saving measures and hiring practices of Losquadro’s department. Lenz, who stumped for Losquadro in the special election that voted him into office, is endorsing Baldassare for the job.

Is the highway superintendent’s job in need of a change? Can Baldassare oust Losquadro for the post?
