Trash Cleaned Up at East Setauket Pond Park

Litter dumped at the park was removed later in the day.

The trash littering the grounds of East Setauket Pond Park near the bridge on Tuesday morning has been cleaned up.

Locals having breakfast at Se-Port Deli around 9:00 a.m. saw a number of geese picking through trash from what appeared to be a standard kitchen garbage bag that had been torn open.

An employee at the Town of Brookhaven's parks department said Tuesday morning that the town's waste management division would be notified of the mess. By 8:00 p.m., it had been cleaned up.
