Setauket F.D. Planning Mass Casualty Drill at High School
Setauket Fire Department will be coordinating with the Three Village School District, surrounding departments and other emergency responders during a Nov. 3 drill.
A drill expected to simulate a mass casualty incident will be held at Ward Melville in coming months, though details are still in the works.
According to a Village Times Herald Article, members of the Setauket Fire Department and Three Village School District are coordinating with representatives on the county level as well as in surrounding districts.
It's expected to be held on Nov. 3, according to the Herald, a Sunday, as scheduling for the all-volunteer department can be a bit tricky. Students are expected to act as volunteers while department members respond to an emergency, the details of which will be largely kept under wraps so as to simulate a real-life experience.
