Police Seek Television Thief

Suffolk Police are looking for a woman who attempted to steal a TV from a Setauket Wal-Mart.

Local authorities are seeking the public’s help with identifying and locating a woman who stole a television from a Setauket store last week.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are looking for a woman who entered the Wal-Mart located at 3990 Route 347, and stole a television on July 16 at 4:51 p.m.

When an employee tried to stop the woman, the suspect grabbed her infant and left the television on a flat hand cart. The woman, who is described as Hispanic, fled in a 2001 black Ford Expedition with the New York plate number FRW 1137.
