Police Seek Man Wanted for Stealing Groceries

Incident occurred on Sept. 10.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for petty larceny after stealing groceries from Stop & Shop on Pond Path in South Setauket.

The man, described as white, 40 years old and 200 pounds, filled a shopping cart with groceries and beer and left the store without paying for it on Sept. 10 at 8:30 p.m.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000  for information leading to an arrest. Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS; all will be kept confidential.
