Police Investigating Two Separate Burglaries in Stony Brook

Both incidents occurred around the same time on Nov. 11.

Two burglaries at Stony Brook homes on Nov. 11 are under investigation as separate incidents, according to police reports.

In one incident, a thief or thieves entered a home on Saddler Lane through an unlocked rear sliding glass door between hours of 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., and stole jewelry and a laptop computer.

In the second incident, a thief or thieves entered a home on Meadow Drive through a back window and stole assorted electronics and jewelry between the hours of 5:45 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.

Both homes were unoccupied at the time. The Saddler Lane home, located in Stony Brook's "S" section, and Meadow Drive, located in the "M" section, are close to three miles away from each other.
