Police: Central Islip Man Stabbed With Beer Bottle in Critical Condition

Man arrested on assault charge Monday morning, police say.

A Central Islip man was arrested early Monday morning after he stabbed another Central Islip man in the neck with a broken beer bottle, police said.

According to police, Reginald Bonelli, 29, became involved in a physical altercation with a 23-year-old man while they were visiting the home of a mutual friend at 173 Powell Ave in Central Islip, police said.

During the fight, Bonelli stabbed the other man with the beer bottle around 1 a.m., police said.

The victim, who police did not identify, suffered a severe laceration to the neck area and was transported via Central Islip-Hauppauge Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

Bonelli is charged with second degree. He is being held at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.

That is a really nice driveway , love the brick work. Hopefully no blood spilled on it and messed it up.

Nice to see that people have become so cynical that all they can do is make snide asinine comments or critique the articles. Morons.

We need to push for a law that bans glass beer bottles in New York. That should stop something like this from ever happening again. Look how well New York City's gun law are working as an example.
