Police Blotter: Telemarketer Threatens Homeowner, Arrests for DWI and Assault

This week's arrests and incidents in Three Village.

  • Police reported an incident of harassment Sept. 8 in which a resident of Merlin Lane in East Setauket said a telemarketer made a verbal threat during a phone call.
  • Stephen Deacon of South Setauket was arrested Sept. 8 in Centereach for alleged aggravated DWI.
  • Timothy Dooley of Setauket was arrested Sept. 5 in Selden for alleged criminal contempt after disobeying a court order.
  • Police reported an incident of criminal mischief Sept. 5 at Cold Stone Creamery in Stony Brook in which a plate glass window was broken.
  • Police reported an incident of grand larceny Sept. 4 in which a purse was stolen from a vehicle on Trustees Road in East Setauket.
  • William Scharf of Stony Brook was arrested Sept. 2 in Stony Brook for alleged assault with intent to cause physical injury.
