Police Ask for Public's Help to Find Man Who Exposed Himself to Teens

Incident occurred Tuesday near Setauket Elementary School.

Suffolk Police have released a sketch of a man they say exposed himself to a group of teens in East Setauket earlier this week. 

According to police, around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, an adult male in a vehicle, described as a four-door station wagon, exposed himself to the teens who were walking past the vehicle near Setauket Elementary School on Main Street. 

The man is described as being in his late 20s to early 30s with brown curly hair and a thin-build. He was clean-shaven, wears glasses and was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans. The vehicle, which is described as a Subaru Legacy, or similar, was silver/green-colored, or possibly sea mist, police said. The vehicle had the old-style white New York empire plates.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
