The LIRR trestle in Stony Brook has been vandalized – again.

A new instance of graffiti has been reported on the Long Island Rail Road trestle at the corner of Route 25A and Nicolls Road. Whereas some previous instances of vandalism have involved vulgar language, this one suggests a nobler – though still illegal – attempt at self-expression: the graffiti reads "Jess I love you please take m back." It's apparently a popular spot for vandals to tag: previous incidents were reported in , , and . A police spokeswoman said this particular incident was reported Jan. 7 but could not provide any additional details.
