Middle Island Woman Accused of Stony Brook Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tracy James, 38, of Middle Island, was arrested on Sept. 24 at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson and charged with robbery, burglary, forgery and criminal possession of stolen property.

Police accused her of a June robbery in Bay Shore when she allegedly stole property from another person. James was also charged with burglary for allegedly taking property from a home on Stony Brook Road in Stony Brook on June 18 and criminal possession of stolen property from an incident at Gold Rush USA in Centereach on the same date.

She was also charged with forgery and accused of altering a check that she then deposited into an ATM in Coram on Sept. 6. Court records show that James was indicted in Suffolk County Criminal Court on Sept. 28 and appeared in court on Wednesday.
