Jake Starr Café Burglarized

Unknown person broke into the eatery and stole $1,500.

Suffolk County police are seeking an unknown person who broke into Jake Starr Café and stole an empty cash register and an envelope containing cash.

According to a police report, a white male kicked in the door of the restaurant sometime between 11 p.m. on April 20 and 3 a.m. on April 21. Police said the burglar made away with $1,500 in cash.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
