Incident Report: Jewelry, Purse Reported Stolen in Stony Brook
Suffolk police reported these incidents between May 5 and May 12.
GRAND LARCENY
A resident of Skylark Drive in Stony Brook reported that someone stole her pocketbook, which contained cash and a cellphone, from her car sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on May 12. It is not known whether the car was locked or unlocked.
A resident of Bonnie Lane in Stony Brook reported May 10 that jewelry was allegedly stolen from a bedroom in the home sometime between March 1 and May 10.
A resident of Freshman Lane in Stony Brook reported May 5 at about 4 p.m. that someone called the house claiming that a family member had been in a car accident. The caller demanded that money be sent immediately, but the resident did not comply and then reported the incident to police.
HARASSMENT
Suffolk police responded on May 5 at 1:55 p.m. to a verbal fight between two people who knew each other at Starbucks on Route 25A in East Setauket.
