Crimes Nearby: Rocky Point Man Nabbed for Forged Prescriptions

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

MILLER PLACE-ROCKY POINT

Scott Loeser, 18, of Rocky Point, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of second-degree possession of forged instruments. He allegedly broke into a doctor's office at some point between Dec. 17 and Dec. 19 and stole prescription pads. He then reportedly forged prescriptions and filled them on Dec. 18, Dec. 28, and Jan 4. In a second incident, while acting in concert with others he allegedly entered at 729 Route 25A in Rocky Point through the rear door and fled with property.

William Abner, 40, of Miller Place, was arrested Jan. 8 at about 12:55 a.m. and charged with second degree harassment and operation of a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.08 percent with a prior violation. He was in a 1995 Chevy Pickup traveling northbound on Radio Ave, allegedly speeding and turning into private property for no reason other than to evade police.

SMITHTOWN

Thomas Scally, 36, of Selden, and Michael Bowe, 35, of St. James, were arrested Jan. 10 in St. James and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports indicate they were sitting in a car at the time of the arrest.

Egbert Profitt, 42, of Huntington, John Chiarella, 33, and David Jacobs, 26, both of Nesconset, were arrested Jan. 7 in Nesconset and each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. The incident occurred on Woodview Drive in Nesconset.

Patrick Falk, 19, of Smithtown, was arrested Jan. 7 in Smithtown, and charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument. He is accused of possessing an altered driver's license while driving in St. James.

PORT JEFFERSON

Ronald Cinquemani, 32, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested Jan. 6 at about 4:30 p.m. and charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument. He was found on Joseph Court in Farmingville in the seat of a 2003 Toyota reportedly in possession of the instruments.

KINGS PARK

Steven Sugarman, 41, of Quincy, was arrested Jan. 9 in Smithtown and charged with second degree grand larceny. He is accused of stealing roll-off containers from E-Pak Manufacturing in Fort Salonga.

Paul Findley, 23, of Bay Shore, and a 17-year-old male were arrested Jan. 7 in Kings Park and charged with possession of burglar's tools and trespassing. The incident took place at Nissequogue River State Park.

HAUPPAUGE

Lee Colfin, 30, of Nesconset, Christopher Loeb, 25, of Smithtown, and Francis Loeb, 30, of Smithtown, were arrested Jan. 7 in Nesconset and each charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny and five counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

John Bonghi, 23, of Centereach, was arrested Jan. 5 in Islandia and charged with third-degree burglary. He is accused of unlawfully entering Wal-Mart and stealing a bucket containing wheel weights.
