Crimes Nearby: Police Make Arrests for Public Lewdness and Assault

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following arrests between July 17 and July 26:

Michael Grusel, 26, of Kings Park, was arrested July 17 in Kings Park and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports state Grusel was arrested for the alleged possession of marijuana in a Kings Park municipal parking lot at approximately 8:35 p.m. Reports also indicate he allegedly struggled with police when officers arrived.

Victor Vitale, 59, of Kings Park, was arrested July 20 in Smithtown and charged with prohibited use of a weapon. Reports indicate Vitale was arrested for alleged discharged of a double gauge barrel shotgun with people nearby. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Old Northport Road.

Luo Lingli, 40, of Flushing, was arrested July 20 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with unauthorized practice of profession. Lingli was arrested for the alleged practice of massage therapy without a license.

Deanna Santini, 22, of Sound Beach, was arrested July 22 in Sound Beach and charged with second degree burglary. Reports state Santini allegedly entered a residence through a front door and stole property at approximately 3 p.m.

Adelino Santiago, of Hauppauge, was arrested in Hauppauge July 22 at 9:27 a.m. on charges of assault. Police said Santiago entered a basement apartment and began hitting the apartment’s resident in the head, face and ribs.

Calvin Johnson, 22, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested July 23 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with assault. Johnson was arrested for allegedly injuring another man with a knife in the chest and rib area. Johnson was reported to have allegedly hit two other men in the head. The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Lincoln Ave.

Gerald Iberger, 55, of Rocky Point, was arrested July 24 in Rocky Point and charged with public lewdness. Reports state Iberger allegedly exposed himself in front of a residence on Broadway.

Scott Perino, 29, of Patchogue, was arrested in Hauppauge July 24 at 2:44 a.m. on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana. Police said officers saw Perino wandering aimlessly outside The Bagel Gallery. When police approached Perino and asked for his identification, he took out a rolled marijuana cigarette. Perino was arrested on the spot and was also allegedly found to be intoxicated, according to police.

David Sedacca, 22, of Carmel, N.Y., was arrested in Nesconset July 25 at 2:30 a.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated. Police said Sedacca was driving a 2007 Honda westbound on Smithtown Boulevard when he went through a red light and crashed into a pickup truck.

Paul Liotta, 42, of Rocky Point, was arrested July 26 in Rocky Point and charged with petty larceny and fourth degree possession of credit card. Reports state Liotta allegedly possessed a stolen credit card.
