Crimes Nearby: Man Possessed Drugs, Stolen Property, Burglary Tools

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

ROCKY POINT

John Escobar, 26, of Rocky Point, was arrested on Nov. 19 and charged with two counts of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest. Escobar was found near 43 Brookhaven Drive, in Rocky Point at approximately 6:10 a.m. in possession of illegal prescription drugs and two flash lights allegedly used to see into people’s cars. The stolen property reportedly consisted of clothing, sunglasses, a Macy’s gift card, assorted jewelery, a laptop and other assorted electronics.

MILLER PLACE

Sarah Wardwell, 31, of Miller Place, was arrested on Nov. 24 and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police reportedly spotted her in a 2007 Chevy in the Taco Bell parking lot on Route 25 in Selden allegedly loading a needle with illegal drugs.

Ryan Gorman, 30, of Miller Place, was arrested on Nov. 22 and charged with eight counts of second degree burglary and one count of second degree forgery. The crimes began on Oct. 6 and ended on Nov. 18 and took place in Rocky Point, Miller Place, Coram, and Deer Park, police said. Jewelry, rolled coins, and other assorted items were reportedly taken. The forgery allegedly took place when a check was stolen and was presented with a forged signature.

COMMACK

Brian McCauley, 40, of North Babylon, and Nanette Tringali, 55, of Commack, were arrested Nov. 22 in Commack and each charged with third degree burglary. They allegedly broke through a wall and stole a cash register from on Commack Road.

Joshua Mathew, 20, of Commack, was arrested Nov. 18 in Commack and charged with petit larceny. Mathew is accused of taking money from a cash register at Nathan's Famous on Commack Road and putting it in his jacket pocket.

HAUPPAUGE

Alcira Escobar, 23, of Brentwood, was arrested Nov. 19 in Hauppauge and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Escobar allegedly fled the scene after his 1997 Dodge was involved in an accident with a 2010 Mercedes at 4:30 p.m. A woman in the Mercedes was brought to the hospital, according to police reports.

PORT JEFFERSON

Salvatore Mazzuchelli, 33, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on Nov. 23 and charged with third degree burglary with illegal entry and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property with a value less than $1,000. He reportedly took a mountain bike and a press machine from Roma Granite Warehouse in Ronkonkoma.

Adriana Salamon, 23, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on Nov. 23 and charged with petty larceny, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and leaving the scene of an accident without showing identification. Salamon was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle crash that resulted in physical injury and fled the scene. Police later found her driving a 2000 Honda in possession of illegal drugs. She was also charged for taking four tires and rims together with another individual on Nov 17 in Ronkonkoma.
