Crimes Nearby: Kings Park Pair Nabbed With Stolen Copper Wire

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

John Scarlett, 31, and Matthew Olson, 31, both of Kings Park, were charged on Feb. 22 in Dix Hills with unlawful use of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property. Police said Scarlett and Olson were in possession of four spools of copper wire taken from the Long Island Power Authority.

Kyle Rieff, 20, of Kings Park, was arrested on Feb. 21 in Smithtown at 8:19 p.m. on two charges of second-degree burglary. Reports state Rieff was arrested for the Jan. 21, 2011 robbery of a home on Astor Court in Commack. The report states Rieff entered a basement window and left the home with jewelry and a Nintendo Wii system. Reports also state that Rieff broke the rear glass door of a home on Verbena Court in Commack on May 18, 2011 and left with a watch.

Edil Perez, 23, of Central Islip, was arrested Feb. 24 in Hauppauge and charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument. Police said Perez was pulled over at a traffic stop at Adams Avenue and Motor Parkway intersection in Hauppauge, where he displayed a forged Social Security card.

Jenna Connolly, 23, of Sound Beach, was arrested Feb. 22 and charged with third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury. Connolly allegedly punched and hit another woman after leaving a pub on Montauk Highway in Center Moriches on Feb. 17 at 12:30 a.m.
