Crime Report: Man Arrested for Alleged Identity Theft
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Ruben Velez, 26, of East Setauket, was arrested Oct. 20 on Route 25 in Selden and charged with first degree identity theft and third degree grand larceny for allegedly using a stolen identity to obtain a loan.
Anthony Russo, 54, of Stony Brook, was arrested Oct. 15 and charged with second degree harassment. No further information is available.
Shawn Butcher, 25, of Coram, was arrested Oct. 15 at Walmart on Nesconset Highway and charged with petty larceny. He allegedly stole games without paying for them.

A 16-year-old boy from Stony Brook was arrested Oct. 17 on Old Town Road in East Setauket and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Christopher Tersigni, 37, of East Setauket, was arrested Oct. 19 on Sheep Pasture Road and charged with second degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and resisting arrest.

Jonathan Freiberger, 26, of East Setauket was arrested Oct. 18 in Yaphank and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs after he allegedly collided with a parked vehicle.
