Crime Report: Driver Hits Tree, Arrested for DWI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Suffolk County Police Department's Sixth Precinct reported these arrests in Three Village between Aug. 18 and Aug. 26.

Peter Morrongiello, 46, of Setauket was arrested Aug. 26 in Stony Brook and charged with first offense DWI. Reports indicate Morrongiello was traveling in a 2002 Chevrolet when he hit a tree on Route 347, Stony Brook. Reports indicate he was arrested for DWI at approximately 9:50 p.m.  

A seventeen-year-old girl from East Setauket was arrested Aug. 22 in South Setauket and charged with petty larceny. Reports indicate the youth allegedly stole makeup and hair color at approximately 7:45 p.m.

A 26-year-old woman from St. James was arrested Aug. 21 in Setauket and charged with DWAI.  Reports indicate she allegedly drove her 2001 Honda Civic through a red light westbound at Route 25A and County Rd. 97 at approximately 11:39 p.m.

Jordan Levine, 70, of Setauket was arrested Aug. 18 in Setauket and charged with DWI. Reports indicate Levine allegedly failed to maintain lanes while operating her 2010 Ford. Reports indicate she was allegedly while intoxicated on Quaker Path, Setauket at approximately 7:12 p.m.
