Crime Report: Christian Avenue Resident Reports Burglary

The Suffolk County Police Department reported the following incidents between May 28 and June 2.

A homeowner on Christian Avenue in Setauket reported a burglary on May 31 in which jewelry was stolen. According to a police report, the thief may have entered the house through the front door sometime around 3 p.m.

Management at Walmart on Nesconset Highway in East Setauket reported on June 1 that a group of teenagers in a white Ford pickup truck stole an electric shopping cart at 9:15 p.m.

A driver who was heading east on Route 25A in Stony Brook near Stony Brook Road reported on May 31 that she was harassed by another motorist at 5 p.m. According to a police report, the driver said she pulled over to the side of the road to let a tailgating driver pass her, but the other driver got out of his car and began yelling at her.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

James DeAngelis, 21, of Setauket, was arrested on May 28 in Setauket and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said DeAngelis was intoxicated when he collided with a utility pole while driving north on Main Street near View Road at 11:55 a.m.

Tiffany Donlon, 18, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on June 2 in Setauket and charged with a felony count of second-degree assault with intent to cause injury with a weapon. Police said she hit another woman over the head with a glass bottle and caused injuries requiring medical attention between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. at a residence on Fox Hollow Road in Setauket.
